Xiaomi has just confirmed on social networking site Weibo that its Mi 4c smartphone will be shown off on the 24th of September at a dedicated event. The device will be officially available for purchase from the 3rd of October, it is believed.
As for the hardware specifications underneath this smartphone, it has been said that Xiaomi will make this a slightly higher end offering compared to the Mi 4i that broke cover earlier this year. Qualcomm's six-core Snapdragon 808 processor has been rumored to be powering the device along with a 5-inch 1080p display and a reversible USB Type-C port, so it's clear that it will not be another mid-ranger.
With still no word on the Mi 5 flagship, we won't be wrong in assuming that the company is sticking with the Mi 4c to be its late 2015 smartphone. The device should be available in all crucial Xiaomi markets, including India at the time of its release.
It is being said that the Mi 4c will be sold in two separate storage and RAM variants, one with 2GB of RAM + 16GB of storage and another with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space. Knowing that this is an upper-tier Xiaomi flagship, we don't think there will be a microSD card slot on board.
