Samsung has been building a parallel army of smartphones based on its Tizen operating system. The company today added another member to this group in the form of Samsung Z3.
Back in July, Samsung had mentioned that it has managed to sell 1 million Tizen-powered phones and it is confident that the Samsung Z3 will help it scale up the platform going forward. In terms of specifications,
Samsung Z3 comes with a 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED screen and runs the latest version of Tizen, v2.3. The phone also comes with an Ultra Data Saving mode, which as per the company offers 40% mobile data savings.
Under the hood, the Samsung Z3 comes with1.3GHz processor along with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded by up to 128GB via microSD card.
Samsung Z3 packs in an 8MP Bright Lens F2.2 camera and also has a wide-angle 5MP selfie camera. There is a 2,600mAh battery on-board.
Samsung Z3 comes preloaded with a new rewarding platform My Galaxy, which would extend personalised exclusive deals and offers to consumers. The Mix Radio app also comes pre-loaded on the smartphone and users of the Samsung Z3 get a free subscription to the same.
Priced at Rs 8,490, the Samsung Z3 will be retailing exclusively on Snapdeal.com starting October 21. Vodafone customers opting for this phone will get 1GB of 3G data free for two months.
